…in the beginning there was light

then after what seemed an eternity, christopher david tsanos was born in the queens section of nyc

always intently watching and observing the environments around him

he regurgitated most of it in the form of visual art

after a childhood with the city as a playground (well not really the staten island part)

chris attended parsons school of art & design where he honed his illustration and design eye

in an effort to pay for his life, chris went from one freelance or restaurant job to another

eventually landing at what was then still sort of called phillips auctioneers

and becoming senior designer

he worked on everything that came through the production department

after a few years of the daily grind and another company name change, chris left phillips, de pury & company

he picked up his brushes again

and set off on his own to persue the life he always dreamed of

a life of painting, creating and solving visual problems

both in print, and now on the web

hopefully paying the bills along the way

he currently resides in the brooklyn section of nyc with his wife and two sons
